ByTheWeb AI plans provide a monthly allowance of AI credits for one connected website domain.
You can choose between monthly and annual billing. In both cases, the AI credit allowance operates on a monthly reset cycle.
This guide explains the current plan structure, billing periods, monthly credit resets, the free trial, Extra Credits, cancellations, and account-level billing behavior.
Each Plan Is Connected to One Domain
ByTheWeb subscriptions, API Keys, and credit balances are associated with a specific registered website domain.
A subscription purchased for one domain is not a shared credit pool for other unrelated websites.
If you manage multiple websites, each domain is managed separately through your ByTheWeb account.
For more information, see:
Managing Your ByTheWeb Account
Current Subscription Plans
ByTheWeb AI currently provides several monthly credit levels.
| Plan | Monthly Billing | Annual Billing |
|---|---|---|
| 5K API Credits | $10.95 / month | $9.10 / month, billed annually |
| 10K API Credits | $19.95 / month | $16.60 / month, billed annually |
| 20K API Credits | $29.95 / month | $24.90 / month, billed annually |
| 30K API Credits | $39.95 / month | $33.20 / month, billed annually |
The values above are displayed dynamically from the current ByTheWeb pricing settings.
You can also review the current public plans at:
or from your connected WordPress website:
ByTheWeb AI > API Connection & Credits
What Does 5K, 10K, 20K or 30K Mean?
The number in the plan name represents the normal monthly AI credit allowance of that plan.
For example:
- 5K = 5,000 AI credits per month
- 10K = 10,000 AI credits per month
- 20K = 20,000 AI credits per month
- 30K = 30,000 AI credits per month
Different AI actions use different numbers of credits.
For the current credit cost of individual AI actions, see:
Monthly Billing
With Monthly Billing, your subscription uses a monthly billing period.
Your plan provides its defined monthly AI credit allowance.
The AI credit allowance resets on its monthly cycle.
Unused normal monthly subscription credits do not roll over into the next monthly period.
Annual Billing
With Annual Billing, the subscription is billed annually.
The AI credit allowance still resets monthly.
This means an annual subscription does not provide one large annual credit balance.
For example, a 20K annual plan provides a 20,000-credit monthly allowance, with that allowance resetting according to the monthly credit cycle.
The billing period and the credit-reset period are therefore separate.
Why Is Annual Pricing Displayed per Month?
The ByTheWeb pricing interface displays the monthly equivalent of an annual plan to make it easier to compare with Monthly Billing.
The pricing interface identifies the annual option as:
Billed Annually
while the credit allowance is still identified as resetting monthly.
The checkout is opened for the selected plan, website domain, and billing period.
Credits Reset Monthly
Normal subscription credits reset every month.
At the monthly reset:
- The previous monthly usage counter is completed
- The used-credit counter resets
- The plan’s normal monthly allowance becomes available for the new cycle
This applies to active monthly and annual subscriptions.
Where Can I See My Next Credit Reset?
Open:
ByTheWeb AI > API Connection & Credits
The connected account summary displays information including:
- Active Plan
- Billing period
- Credit Balance
- Monthly credit allowance
- Next Credit Reset
- Billing Date
- Extra Credits Balance
Next Credit Reset and Billing Date represent different information.
For an annually billed plan in particular, the subscription billing period can be annual while the AI credits continue to reset monthly.
Do Unused Monthly Credits Roll Over?
No.
Unused credits from the normal monthly subscription allowance do not roll over into future monthly periods.
When the next monthly reset occurs, the normal allowance is restored according to the active plan.
Extra Credits are handled separately.
What Is the Free Trial?
Eligible domains can activate the ByTheWeb AI free trial.
The current trial provides:
5,000 AI Credits
for 30 days.
No credit card is required for the free trial.
The trial is available once per eligible domain.
When Does the Free Trial Start?
The free trial does not begin merely when a ByTheWeb account is created.
The trial begins when the registered domain is successfully activated through the WordPress plugin and its API Key.
At activation:
- The trial becomes active
- The trial credit allowance becomes available
- The 30-day trial period begins
For the complete activation process, see:
What Happens to Unused Trial Credits?
Unused trial credits expire when the trial period ends.
They do not roll over after the trial has expired.
When the trial ends or its available credits are exhausted, cloud-based AI-assisted actions can be paused until an active subscription is purchased.
The trial can be activated once per eligible domain.
Do I Have to Subscribe After the Trial?
No.
The free trial does not require a credit card and does not automatically create a paid subscription.
After the trial, you can choose whether to purchase one of the available paid AI credit plans.
Where Do I Choose a Subscription Plan?
Open:
ByTheWeb AI > API Connection & Credits
The subscription section lets you switch between:
- Annual Billing
- Monthly Billing
and review the plans currently available to the connected domain.
Each plan card can display information such as:
- Plan name
- Monthly AI credit allowance
- Current price
- Billing information
- Popular status where configured
- Current Plan status
- Choose Plan
What Does Current Plan Mean?
The Current Plan state identifies the active package and its current billing period.
For example, if your active package is the 20K plan with Monthly Billing, the Monthly version of the 20K package is shown as the Current Plan.
Changing the pricing selector from Monthly to Annual changes the plans being viewed. It does not change the active subscription by itself.
How Do I Select a Different Plan?
From:
ByTheWeb AI > API Connection & Credits
select the required Monthly or Annual view and use Choose Plan on the plan you want.
ByTheWeb then opens the checkout flow for the selected:
- Plan
- Domain
- Billing period
The subscription is updated after the corresponding purchase or payment process is successfully completed by the ByTheWeb billing system.
What Are Extra Credits?
Extra Credits are a separate one-time credit balance that can be added to an eligible paid subscription.
Unlike the normal monthly subscription allowance, Extra Credits do not reset at the end of the month.
They remain in the Extra Credits balance until used, subject to the requirement that the domain has an active paid base subscription.
For complete information, see:
Who Can Purchase Extra Credits?
Extra Credit packages are available only for domains with an active paid subscription.
They are not available as a replacement for the base subscription.
If the domain does not currently have an eligible active paid subscription, the Extra Credit purchase is not available.
Which Credits Are Used First?
The normal monthly subscription allowance is used first.
Extra Credits are used only after the monthly allowance has been exhausted.
For example:
- Your plan has a monthly allowance of 10,000 credits.
- AI usage is first counted against those 10,000 credits.
- If monthly usage exceeds the normal allowance, the excess can be deducted from the available Extra Credits balance.
- At the next monthly reset, the normal monthly usage counter is reset.
- Any remaining Extra Credits remain in the separate Extra Credits balance.
Do Extra Credits Expire?
Extra Credits do not expire through the normal monthly reset process.
However, an active base subscription is required to use them.
If the main subscription expires or is cancelled and API access is paused, remaining Extra Credits are kept dormant in the account.
They can be used again after an eligible subscription is reactivated.
What Happens If I Run Out of Credits?
If the connected domain does not have enough available credits for a paid AI action, that action cannot continue.
The ByTheWeb AI interface can direct you to:
- Available subscription packages
- Extra Credit packages, when the domain is eligible
You can also wait for the next monthly credit reset if your active subscription is still valid.
Running out of AI credits does not itself change the amount of the plan’s next monthly allowance.
What Is the Difference Between Credit Reset and Billing Renewal?
These are separate processes.
Credit Reset refers to the monthly AI usage cycle.
Billing Renewal refers to the subscription payment cycle.
With Monthly Billing, the subscription itself is billed monthly.
With Annual Billing, the subscription is billed annually while the AI credit usage still resets monthly.
This is why the ByTheWeb AI account summary can show both:
- Next Credit Reset
- Billing Date
What Happens If I Cancel My Subscription?
Cancelling a subscription stops its automatic renewal.
The current Terms of Service specify that after cancellation, access to the plan continues until the end of the current paid billing period.
After that period:
- The subscription does not renew
- Further billing for the next subscription period stops
- API access can be paused unless the subscription is reactivated
The ByTheWeb account records the subscription as cancelled and provides the applicable subscription-management controls.
How Do I Cancel Automatic Renewal?
Subscription management is available through your ByTheWeb account.
For subscriptions managed through Lemon Squeezy, the account interface can provide a Manage Billing (Lemon Squeezy) option.
For supported subscriptions managed directly through the ByTheWeb account system, the account interface provides Cancel Auto Renewal.
Cancellation changes the subscription renewal status. It is not the same as permanently deleting the domain.
Can I Reactivate a Cancelled Subscription?
The ByTheWeb account interface supports a Reactivate Subscription action for a subscription that is in the cancelled state.
Reactivating changes the subscription status back to active through the supported account workflow.
What Happens to Extra Credits After Cancellation?
If the base subscription expires or is cancelled and API access becomes unavailable, the remaining Extra Credits are not erased simply because the subscription is no longer active.
They are kept dormant in the account.
An active eligible subscription is required before they can be used again.
Is Cancelling the Same as Deleting a Domain?
No.
Cancelling controls subscription renewal.
Permanently deleting a domain is a separate account action.
The account does not allow an active paid subscription to be permanently deleted as though it were an inactive domain. The subscription renewal must first be cancelled where required.
What Happens If I Permanently Delete a Domain or Account?
According to the current Terms of Service, permanently deleting an account or domain forfeits all associated unused credits, including unused Extra Credits.
This forfeiture is immediate and irreversible.
Do not use Permanently Delete Domain simply because you want to stop automatic subscription renewal.
If your goal is only to stop renewal, use the subscription cancellation controls instead.
For more information, see:
Changing / Removing a Connected Domain
Does Removing the API Key from WordPress Cancel Billing?
No.
The API Key connects the WordPress installation to ByTheWeb Cloud.
Subscription cancellation is a separate account-level action.
Removing or replacing the API Key inside WordPress should not be used as a substitute for cancelling automatic renewal.
For account and domain management, see:
Managing Your ByTheWeb Account
How Are Payments Processed?
The current ByTheWeb Terms of Service specify:
- Lemon Squeezy for international transactions
- Invoice4U for local transactions
ByTheWeb does not directly collect or store full payment-card details on its servers.
Purchases can also be subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of the payment processor used for the transaction.
What Is the Refund Policy?
The current ByTheWeb Terms of Service state that, except where a refund or cancellation right is required by applicable law, purchases are final and non-refundable.
This also applies to unused credits where the Terms specify that no refund is provided.
Always review the current Terms before purchasing or making account-level billing changes:
Where Can I See Current Pricing?
Current public pricing is available at:
The connected WordPress website also retrieves the plans currently available to that domain under:
ByTheWeb AI > API Connection & Credits
For connected accounts, the package currency is determined from the account’s billing country. The current system uses ILS for an account whose billing country is Israel and USD for other countries.
Where Can I See the Cost of Individual AI Actions?
The subscription plan determines how many credits are available each month.
Individual AI actions determine how those credits are consumed.
For the current credit cost of supported actions such as:
- AI FAQ Generation
- Short Answer
- AI Summary
- SEO Title
- SEO Description

A Simple Monthly Plan Example
Suppose your plan provides:
10,000 Credits per month
During the current monthly period you use:
7,500 Credits
Your remaining normal monthly allowance is:
2,500 Credits
If those 2,500 normal monthly credits are not used before the next reset, they do not roll over.
At the next monthly credit reset, the normal monthly usage cycle starts again with the allowance defined by the active plan.
If you also have Extra Credits, that balance remains separate and is used only after the normal monthly allowance is exhausted.
A Simple Annual Plan Example
Suppose you choose a:
20K API Credits – Annual Billing
The subscription is billed annually.
The AI allowance is still:
20,000 Credits per month
The monthly usage resets each month while the annual subscription remains active.
You do not receive 12 months of credits as one combined balance at the beginning of the annual subscription.
