Unless a different effective date is stated, changes take effect when published. Where applicable law requires notice, consent, or a delayed effective date, we will comply using an appropriate legally permitted method.
These Terms of Service were last updated on August 20, 2026.
Limitations of Use
By using our websites, portals, WordPress plugins, APIs, or related services, you warrant on behalf of yourself, your users, and any other parties you represent that you will not:

The intellectual property in the materials contained on this website is owned by or licensed to Bytheweb LTD and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. We grant our users permission to download one copy of the materials for personal, non-commercial transitory use.
This constitutes the grant of a license, not a transfer of title. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions or the Terms of Service, and may be terminated by Bytheweb LTD at any time.
Liability
Our website and the materials on our website are provided on an ‘as is’ basis. To the extent permitted by law, Bytheweb LTD makes no warranties, express or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property, or other violation of rights.
In no event shall Bytheweb LTD or its suppliers be liable for any consequential loss suffered or incurred by you or any third party arising from the use or inability to use this website or the materials on this website, even if Bytheweb LTD or an authorized representative has been notified, orally or in writing, of the possibility of such damage.

Use of any such linked site is at your own risk and we strongly advise you make your own investigations with respect to the suitability of those sites.
ByTheWeb AI Free Website Scanner
The Free Website Scanner provides automated technical, SEO, GEO, AI visibility, and public AI snapshot analysis based on the URL or domain submitted by the user.
The scanner may operate in two profiles:
• A standard public scan available for submitted public website URLs and domains; and
• An expanded connected-domain scan available when the submitted domain is registered, connected, and recognized as eligible in the ByTheWeb Account Management Portal.
The standard public scan may use a limited selection of AI providers and lower maximum result limits. The expanded connected-domain scan may use all providers enabled for that profile, currently including OpenAI, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Anthropic Claude, together with higher configured result limits.
The eligibility decision is based on the status of the submitted domain. It does not independently authenticate the identity, ownership, or authority of the person submitting that domain. Accordingly, any person who submits a domain recognized as eligible may receive the expanded scanner results for that domain.
Scanner results are based on publicly accessible website information, public search data, and responses generated independently by third-party AI providers.
Scanner results are provided for informational purposes only and may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, misleading, unrelated, or affected by third-party services, public search indexes, AI model behavior, provider availability, website security systems, hosting configuration, robots.txt rules, firewalls, redirects, unavailable resources, or service configuration.
AI engine overviews, facts, unclear facts, missing questions, source lists, citations, and AI visibility observations may be generated by third-party providers and must not be treated as guaranteed facts, professional advice, ranking guarantees, endorsements, or official statements from Google, OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic, or any other third party.
A source link or citation does not guarantee that the source fully supports the associated generated statement. You are responsible for independently reviewing the result and verifying material facts.
You may only scan websites and pages that are publicly accessible for ordinary web browsing or that you are otherwise authorized to analyze. You must not use the scanner to access, test, overload, bypass, or analyze private, internal, restricted, or unauthorized systems.
We may apply reCAPTCHA verification, IP-based rate limits, global scan and API limits, abuse-prevention measures, service configuration controls, timeouts, provider-specific restrictions, and other technical protections.
We may modify which providers, models, result limits, or scanner profiles are available at any time. A scan may fail or return a partial result when one or more providers are unavailable, disabled, delayed, or do not return usable data.
The scanner does not provide a user-accessible history or comparison archive of completed reports.
ByTheWeb AI — Plugin Terms (Functionality & AI Output)
1) Scope
These terms apply to the ByTheWeb AI WordPress plugin and its functionality, including AI-assisted tools and outputs such as FAQ data, metadata, analysis, and suggestions generated or presented within WordPress. They also apply, where relevant, to cloud-based AI-assisted features initiated through the ByTheWeb GEO WordPress plugin using the ByTheWeb AI integration and ByTheWeb Cloud service.
2) Age and Business Use Requirements
The AI-assisted cloud features provided through ByTheWeb AI, including website scanning and AI visibility analysis, FAQ generation, image analysis, metadata generation, and other features that use external artificial intelligence APIs, are intended only for professional or business use by individuals who are at least 18 years old. By accessing or using any AI-assisted cloud feature, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the relevant website, business, organization, or account holder. These AI-assisted cloud features are not directed to, intended for, or permitted to be accessed or used by individuals under the age of 18. You must not allow any individual under the age of 18 to access or use these features through your account, website, WordPress installation, or API credentials.
3) AI Output Is Generated Content — Not Guaranteed
ByTheWeb AI and supported ByTheWeb GEO integrations may generate or suggest FAQs, summaries, short answers, SEO or GEO metadata, image metadata such as alt text, titles, captions and descriptions, optimization suggestions, and other AI-assisted text (“AI Output”).
AI Output is provided “as is” and may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, or inappropriate.
ByTheWeb AI does not guarantee the accuracy, truthfulness, originality, completeness, or suitability of any AI Output for any purpose.
AI Hallucinations and Factual Errors: Artificial Intelligence models are prone to “hallucinations”—generating confident but entirely fabricated information. You acknowledge that AI Output may invent non-existent businesses, incorrect physical addresses, fake historical events, false claims about competitors, or incorrect pricing. You strictly agree never to rely on ByTheWeb AI for factual accuracy, location data, or business specifics without independent human verification. Publishing unverified AI Output that damages a third party’s reputation is your sole responsibility.
4) Your Responsibility to Review Before Publishing
You are solely responsible for:
• Reviewing, editing, validating, and approving any AI Output before use;
• Fact-checking, verifying sources, and confirming claims;
• Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, platform policies, and industry standards;
• Ensuring content meets your brand, business goals, and ethical requirements.
AI Output is provided for review and is not automatically published by ByTheWeb AI as live website content. You decide whether to save, apply, display, publish, or otherwise use the AI Output. You are responsible for reviewing, fact-checking where appropriate, editing, and approving any AI Output before use.
5) Copyright, IP, and Third-Party Rights
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any AI Output does not infringe the rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other intellectual property rights.
ByTheWeb AI is not responsible for:
• Copyright disputes or claims;
• Alleged similarities to existing works;
• Licensing requirements for generated or suggested content;
• Any costs, legal fees, claims, or damages arising from your use of AI Output.
You acknowledge and agree that AI-generated content is not exclusive to you and may not be subject to copyright protection in your jurisdiction. ByTheWeb AI makes no guarantees regarding your ability to claim exclusive ownership, copyright, or trademark protection over any AI Output. Because AI models may generate similar or identical outputs for different users, you cannot claim infringement against others based solely on AI-generated similarities. You assume all risks associated with the intellectual property status of the AI Output.
5A) AI Transparency, Disclosure and Provenance
ByTheWeb AI may display notices within the plugin interface indicating when a feature uses artificial intelligence or when an output was generated or assisted by AI. Such notices are intended to support transparency and responsible use of AI-assisted features.
You are responsible for complying with any applicable law, regulation, platform rule, professional obligation, or industry requirement that requires disclosure that content is AI-generated, AI-assisted, or artificially manipulated. Where disclosure, labeling, or preservation of provenance is required, you are responsible for maintaining the required disclosure and for adding any additional notice required for your particular use case.
6) No Professional Advice
AI Output is not professional advice. It is not legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, or any other regulated guidance. If you require professional advice, consult a qualified professional.
7) Site Performance, Availability, and Data Flow
The plugin may rely on external services to provide AI-assisted functionality. When an authorized user requests a cloud-based AI-assisted action, relevant website content and other information reasonably necessary to perform the requested action may be transmitted to the ByTheWeb Cloud service and processed by the applicable external AI provider. Depending on the requested feature, this may include post or page content, prompts, selected fields, existing values, images, website language, domain information, and authentication information required to provide the service. Service availability and performance may vary based on:
• Internet connectivity;
• Third-party services and infrastructure;
• WordPress configuration, hosting environment, themes, and plugins.
ByTheWeb AI does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific performance, or error-free operation of AI-assisted features.
8) Plugin Compatibility and Dependencies
• SEO plugin compatibility: ByTheWeb GEO supports integration with compatible third-party SEO plugins, including Yoast SEO and Rank Math (From bytheweb-geo 1.3.0 version). When a supported external SEO plugin is active, ByTheWeb GEO may rely on that plugin for overlapping traditional SEO functionality and Schema graph ownership while continuing to provide its GEO, AI Readiness, LLM, and supported Schema enrichment features. Compatibility may be affected by changes made by WordPress, the external SEO plugin, other plugins, themes, or site-specific configurations.
• Third-party plugins and themes: Compatibility with themes/builders/plugins (including Elementor and WooCommerce) may vary due to updates, customizations, and conflicts.
• You are responsible for maintaining a compatible WordPress environment and keeping WordPress, themes, and plugins updated in a safe manner.
Dynamic Content & Plugin Deactivation: Certain features, such as FAQ Schema (JSON-LD), are rendered dynamically into your site’s code based on data saved in your database. If the ByTheWeb AI plugin is deactivated or removed, dynamically injected output provided by the plugin will no longer be added to the live site while the plugin is inactive or unavailable. Deactivation does not by itself delete normal WordPress content or locally stored plugin data. Bytheweb LTD is not responsible for changes in search visibility, structured-data behavior, or other website behavior resulting from deactivation or removal of the plugin. Disconnecting your API Key does not by itself remove existing locally stored FAQ Schema data while the plugin remains installed.
9) Security and Safe Operation
You are responsible for:
• Maintaining backups;
• Using secure hosting and access controls;
• Keeping WordPress and plugins updated;
• Testing changes in staging environments when possible.
ByTheWeb AI is not responsible for damages resulting from insecure configurations, compromised credentials, malware, or third-party plugin conflicts.
10) Credits, Subscriptions, and Billing:
• Credits Expiration & Extra Packages: Monthly subscription credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused monthly credits do not roll over to the next month unless explicitly stated otherwise. “Extra Packages” (One-Time credits) do not expire; however, you must maintain an active base subscription to utilize them. If your main subscription expires or is canceled, your API access will be paused, and any remaining Extra credits will be kept dormant in your account until you reactivate your subscription.
• Account Deletion: If you permanently delete your account or domain from the dashboard, all associated credits (including unused Extra credits) will be immediately and irrevocably forfeited. No refunds will be provided for unused credits.
• Refund Policy: Except where a refund or cancellation right is required by applicable law, purchases are final and non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to your plan until the end of your current paid billing period, after which the subscription will not renew.
• Payment Processing: Payments for our services are processed by third-party payment processors, including Lemon Squeezy for international transactions and Invoice4U for local transactions. We do not directly collect or store full payment-card details on our servers. By completing a purchase, you may also be subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies of the relevant payment processor.
• Free Trial and Introductory Credits: The introductory free trial and associated credits begin when the connected domain is successfully activated through the plugin and API key, not merely when an account is created. The trial is available once per eligible domain, lasts for 30 days from activation, and any unused trial credits expire at the end of the trial and do not roll over. When the trial ends or its credits are exhausted, access to cloud-based AI-assisted features may be paused until an active subscription is purchased. Local WordPress features, plugin settings, normal WordPress content, and locally stored plugin data remain available unless otherwise stated.
11) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ByTheWeb AI and its owners, developers, and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including (without limitation):
• Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities;
• Loss of data or site availability;
• SEO ranking changes or traffic changes;
• Reputation damage;
• Claims from third parties;
arising out of or related to your use of the plugin, any AI Output, website scanner result, or AI visibility result, or any reliance on such output or result.
Maximum Liability (Liability Cap) To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Bytheweb LTD (and its affiliates, developers, or suppliers) total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims, damages, or losses arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service, the use of the ByTheWeb AI plugin, or any associated services, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, exceed the greater of: (a) the total amounts actually paid by you to Bytheweb LTD for the specific service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) one hundred U.S. Dollars ($100 USD).
12) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ByTheWeb AI and its owners, developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
• Your use, publication, distribution, or reliance on AI Output, website scanner results, or AI visibility analysis;
• Your breach of these terms;
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights.
13) Changes to the Plugin
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the plugin or its features at any time, including to improve performance, comply with legal requirements, or address security concerns.
14) Website Scanner and AI Visibility Analysis
ByTheWeb AI provides website scanning and AI visibility analysis through the hosted scanner available on bytheweb.ai. The scanner may be accessed directly or through links and features made available through the ByTheWeb AI WordPress plugin or the ByTheWeb Account Management Portal.
The scanner may use third-party artificial intelligence, search, and answer services, including OpenAI, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Anthropic Claude, to analyze how publicly available information about a submitted website is currently understood, described, sourced, and presented by those services.
The scanner may operate as a standard public scan or as an expanded connected-domain scan. A submitted domain may qualify for the expanded profile when it is registered, connected, and recognized as eligible in the ByTheWeb Account Management Portal.
The expanded profile may use additional providers and higher configured maximum result limits. Available providers, models, limits, tools, and features may change according to service configuration, provider availability, technical requirements, cost controls, security requirements, or legal obligations.
The eligibility decision is based on the submitted domain’s status and does not independently authenticate the identity, ownership, or authority of the person submitting the domain. Any person who submits a domain recognized as eligible may therefore receive the expanded results for that domain.
The scanner may process the submitted website URL or domain, publicly accessible website information, public search results, publicly available source pages, redirects, and technical information required to perform and display the scan.
The scanner is intended to analyze public website visibility. It is not designed to access private WordPress administration content, passwords, unpublished posts, private databases, restricted pages, or non-public information.
Each AI provider produces its result independently. Results from OpenAI, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Anthropic Claude may differ from one another, contradict one another, identify different entities, use different sources, omit information, or reach different conclusions.
ByTheWeb AI does not combine the providers into a guaranteed factual consensus and does not guarantee that any provider has correctly identified the website, business, products, location, ownership, audience, pricing, availability, or services.
Scanner results, overviews, facts, unclear facts, missing questions, source lists, and citations may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, unrelated, or based on third-party information.
A source link or citation does not guarantee that the source fully supports the generated statement. You are responsible for independently checking all material information before relying on or publishing it.
Scanner results represent an automated snapshot generated at the time of the scan. Results may change between scans even when the website has not changed because of changes in AI models, public search indexes, provider systems, available sources, ranking systems, language processing, service configuration, or other third-party factors.
Scanner results are provided for informational and monitoring purposes only. They are not professional advice, verified business records, official provider statements, endorsements, ranking guarantees, traffic guarantees, or guarantees of inclusion in any AI-generated response or search result.
Scans may be subject to connected-domain eligibility checks, reCAPTCHA verification, IP-based rate limits, global usage limits, provider-specific limits, processing timeouts, provider availability, security controls, abuse-prevention measures, and other technical restrictions.
A scan may be delayed, fail, or return a partial result when one or more providers are unavailable, disabled, delayed, or do not return usable information.
The scanner does not provide a user-accessible report history, version archive, or comparison system. Operational logs may be retained for security, rate limiting, diagnostics, cost control, and service reliability.
You may only use the scanner for websites and pages that are publicly accessible for ordinary web browsing or that you are otherwise authorized to analyze. You must not use the scanner to access private systems, collect restricted information, obtain sensitive personal information, circumvent access controls, or engage in unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or privacy-invasive activity.
OpenAI, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Anthropic are independent third parties. ByTheWeb AI and Bytheweb LTD are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by these providers unless expressly stated otherwise. Use of their services is subject to their applicable terms, usage policies, safety policies, privacy practices, and service configurations.
Right to Terminate
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of our websites, portals, WordPress plugins, APIs, or services if you breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, create legal or security risk, abuse the service, or if suspension is reasonably necessary to protect users, third parties, or our systems.
We may act immediately and without prior notice where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law. Where practical, we may provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
Severance
Any term of these Terms of Service which is wholly or partially void or unenforceable is severed to the extent that it is void or unenforceable. The validity of the remainder of these Terms of Service is not affected.
Acceptable Use Policy
This acceptable use policy covers the products, services, and technologies (collectively referred to as the “Products”) provided by Bytheweb LTD under any ongoing agreement. It’s designed to protect us, our customers and the general Internet community from unethical, irresponsible and illegal activity.

By accepting Products from us, our customers agree to ensure adherence to this policy on behalf of anyone using the Products as their end users. Complaints regarding the actions of customers or their end-users will be forwarded to the nominated contact for the account in question.
If a customer – or their end-user or anyone using our Products as a result of the customer – violates our acceptable use policy, we reserve the right to terminate any Products associated with the offending account or the account itself or take any remedial or preventative action we deem appropriate without notice. To the extent permitted by law, no credit will be available for interruptions of service resulting from any violation of our acceptable use policy.

Unauthorized Use of Bytheweb LTD Property
We prohibit the impersonation of Bytheweb LTD, the representation of a significant business relationship with Bytheweb LTD, or ownership of any Bytheweb LTD property (including our Products and brand) for the purpose of fraudulently gaining service, custom, patronage or user trust.
About This Policy
This policy outlines a non-exclusive list of activities and intent we deem unacceptable and incompatible with our brand.
We reserve the right to review and amend these Terms. When we do so, we will publish the revised version and update the “Last updated” date. Unless a different effective date is stated, changes take effect when published, subject to applicable law.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel. Subject to any mandatory law that permits you to bring a claim elsewhere, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Israel.
