ByTheWeb GEO lets you define one or more physical business locations and represent each location with structured LocalBusiness data.
Each location can have its own business type, contact details, physical address, GPS coordinates, service area, and opening hours.

Where to Configure Business Locations
In WordPress, go to:
ByTheWeb GEO > GEO Settings > Entity & Schema
Find the Business Locations section.
Enable:
Enable LocalBusiness Schema
Then click:
Manage Locations
This opens the location management interface.
Add Your First Business Location
Each location contains its own set of business information.
The available fields are:
- Location / Branch Name
- Business Type
- Location Email
- Location Phone
- Location Address
- Latitude & Longitude (GPS)
- Service Area
- Opening Hours
After entering the location information, save the Entity & Schema settings.
Location / Branch Name
Use Location / Branch Name when you want to identify a specific location or branch separately.
For example:
Manhattan Office
or:
Downtown Branch
This field is optional.
If it is left empty, ByTheWeb GEO uses the primary entity name as the location name in its Schema output.
Choose the Business Type
Each location can have its own Schema.org LocalBusiness type.
The default is:
LocalBusiness
When possible, choose the most specific supported business type that accurately describes the location.
For example:
- A hotel can use
Hotel. - A restaurant can use
Restaurant. - A real estate office can use
RealEstateAgent. - A plumbing company can use
Plumber. - A dental practice can use
Dentist.
The Business Type field includes a searchable selector. Start typing the type name or open the list to find the appropriate option.
If an unsupported value is submitted, ByTheWeb GEO falls back to:

Choose the type that most accurately represents the individual location. If none of the more specific options applies, use LocalBusiness.
Location Email and Phone
Each Business Location can have its own:
Location Email
and:
Location Phone
These values are specific to that location and can be different from the contact information configured for the Primary Entity.
When provided, they are included in the applicable LocalBusiness structured data.
Location Address
Enter the physical address of the location under:
Location Address
For example:
350 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY, United States
The address is also used by the optional Fetch from Address tool when you want ByTheWeb GEO to retrieve GPS coordinates.
Latitude & Longitude
Each location can store its own:
- Latitude
- Longitude
When both values are available, ByTheWeb GEO can include them as GeoCoordinates in the LocalBusiness structured data.
You can enter the coordinates manually or use:
Fetch from Address
Fetch GPS Coordinates from an Address
Enter the physical Location Address first, then click:
Fetch from Address
ByTheWeb GEO sends that address to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim search service and uses the returned result to populate the Latitude and Longitude fields.
If a matching location is found, the coordinates are inserted into the current Business Location.
If a location cannot be found, try entering a more complete address or enter the coordinates manually.
No address is sent to OpenStreetMap merely by opening the settings. The request occurs when an administrator actively uses Fetch from Address.
Map Preview
When Latitude and Longitude are available, the Business Location settings can display a Google Maps preview for those coordinates.
The map is a preview inside the WordPress administration interface. It is separate from the LocalBusiness structured data itself.
Loading the map preview connects the browser to Google Maps.

Service Area
Service Area describes the geographic area that the location mainly serves.
It is different from the physical Location Address.
For example:
London
New York City
Greater London
When provided, ByTheWeb GEO can use this value as areaServed for the LocalBusiness entity.
Opening Hours
Each Business Location has its own Opening Hours settings.
You can configure Monday through Sunday individually.
For each day:
- Enable the day if the location is open.
- Enter the opening time.
- Enter the closing time.
Only enabled days with both an opening and closing time are included in the generated OpeningHoursSpecification data.
This allows different locations to maintain different schedules.
Add Multiple Business Locations
ByTheWeb GEO supports multiple Business Locations.
Click:
+ Add Location
to create another location.
Each location can have completely separate:
- Name
- Business type
- Phone
- Address
- GPS coordinates
- Service area
- Opening hours
You can also use Duplicate to copy an existing location and then edit the duplicated details.
Additional locations can be removed using Remove Location.
This makes it possible to represent multiple branches or physical business locations separately instead of combining them into one LocalBusiness entity.
How the LocalBusiness Schema Is Added
When Enable LocalBusiness Schema is active, ByTheWeb GEO adds the configured Business Location entities to the applicable Schema graph on the site’s front page or posts page.
Each configured location becomes its own LocalBusiness entity using the selected business type.
For example, a website with three locations could have separate entities representing:
- A
Hotel - A second
Hotel - A
Restaurant
Each entity can contain its own address, phone, email, coordinates, service area, and opening hours.
How Business Locations Connect to the Primary Entity
When the website’s Primary Entity is enabled and represents an Organization, ByTheWeb GEO can connect each Business Location to that Organization using the applicable Schema relationship.
This keeps the primary Organization and its physical locations represented as separate but related entities.
The Primary Entity itself is configured separately.

What Happens with Yoast SEO or Rank Math SEO?
ByTheWeb GEO uses provider-aware Schema integration.
When Yoast SEO or Rank Math SEO manages the site’s core Schema, ByTheWeb GEO does not replace the provider’s primary entity.
Business Locations can still be added by ByTheWeb and, when appropriate, connected to the primary Organization managed by the active SEO provider.
However, if the external provider already supplies a supported LocalBusiness entity, ByTheWeb GEO preserves that provider’s LocalBusiness output instead of adding competing ByTheWeb LocalBusiness entities.
This prevents duplicate LocalBusiness entities from being generated for the same Schema graph.

Business Locations vs. Services
Business Locations and Services are separate structured data features.
A Business Location describes a physical location, including information such as:
- Address
- Contact details
- Business type
- Opening hours
- Coordinates
- Service area
A Service describes something the organization provides.
An organization can therefore have multiple Business Locations and multiple Services at the same time.
Services are configured separately under the Services section of Entity & Schema.

Business Locations vs. Customer Support Contact
A location’s Email and Phone belong to that individual Business Location.
The separate Customer Support Contact feature represents the organization’s main customer support ContactPoint.
Use the Location fields for branch-specific contact details.
Use Customer Support Contact when you want to describe a dedicated support channel for the organization.

Does LocalBusiness Schema Require AI Credits?
No.
Configuring Business Locations and generating the supported LocalBusiness structured data are local ByTheWeb GEO features.
They do not require:
- A ByTheWeb AI API connection
- AI credits
- An AI-generated response
The optional address lookup and map preview are external location services, not AI credit features.
Does LocalBusiness Schema Guarantee Local Rankings or AI Recommendations?
No.
LocalBusiness structured data gives search engines and AI systems machine-readable information about your business locations.
ByTheWeb GEO does not control how an external search engine or AI platform ranks, displays, cites, recommends, or otherwise uses that information.
Troubleshooting
Fetch from Address cannot find my location
Enter a more complete physical address, including the city and country where appropriate, and try again. You can also enter the Latitude and Longitude manually.
The Google Maps preview is not visible
Check that both Latitude and Longitude contain values. The preview requires coordinates before it can load the selected location.
My selected Business Type changed to LocalBusiness
ByTheWeb GEO accepts only the supported LocalBusiness types listed in this guide. An unsupported submitted value is normalized back to LocalBusiness.
My ByTheWeb Business Locations are not appearing with Yoast SEO or Rank Math SEO
Check whether the external provider already generates a LocalBusiness entity. When it does, ByTheWeb GEO intentionally avoids adding competing LocalBusiness entities.
I have several branches
Create a separate Business Location for each physical branch rather than placing all branch information into a single location.
Recommended Setup
- Go to ByTheWeb GEO > GEO Settings > Entity & Schema.
- Configure your Primary Entity first if the website represents an Organization.
- Enable LocalBusiness Schema.
- Click Manage Locations.
- Enter the first location’s name and choose the most accurate supported Business Type.
- Add its email, phone, and physical address where applicable.
- Enter GPS coordinates manually or use Fetch from Address.
- Add the Service Area where relevant.
- Configure the correct Opening Hours.
- Use + Add Location for each additional physical location.
- Save the Entity & Schema settings.
