Schema.org provides several specialized WebPage types that can describe the purpose of a page more precisely than the generic WebPage type.

When ByTheWeb GEO manages the site’s core Schema, singular content uses WebPage as its default page type. From the ByTheWeb GEO settings on an individual supported content item, you can manually override that default with AboutPage, ContactPage, FAQPage, or SearchResultsPage when one of those types accurately represents the content.

ByTheWeb GEO also applies appropriate baseline types to certain WordPress views, such as ProfilePage for author archives, SearchResultsPage for WordPress search results, and CollectionPage for supported archive and taxonomy views.

If Yoast SEO or Rank Math SEO is active, that provider remains responsible for the core WebPage Schema. ByTheWeb GEO does not apply a competing manual Page Type override.
